LOT
On March 19 of 2007 we filled 846 bottles of this 1999 Boal from the same vineyard of the 1995 single casks 80a and 81a. This small single vineyard, belonging to G.S. Andrade, located in São Vicente, north coast of the island, has always been one of our favorites.
We wanted this wine to be submitted to permanent shock of temperatures: hot temperatures brought a little more of concentration during the day, but coolest temperatures of the night’s refreshed the wine. We believe the best way to describe this effect on the wine is to imagine a person diving into the sea after being in the sun for some time. The fresh night temperatures always bring the extra energy a wine needs to keep its character alive. These conditions have been decisive to produce this exuberant and very energetic Boal.
