Grapes sourced in Jardim da Serra. The must was obtained through foot treading.
LOT
This Colheita 2007 was produced with Tinta Negra grapes, from the centenary “Vinha das Mantas” and it was the first foot trodden wine made by Ricardo Diogo Freitas.
Given the unique characteristics provided in a wine by foot trodden (Lagar), strongly full bodied and deep in color, we chose to use casks with capacities of only 300 and 450 liters. We intended the oxidation process and concentration of the wine to be faster and more constant, by not completely attesting the casks and by placing them in warmer areas of the warehouse. In November 2020, 1072 units were filled, all individually numbered.

This wine was filtered and does not require decanting; it will last and maintain in good condition several months once opened.
TASTING NOTES
Old gold Colour.
Aroma of quince jam, orange peel, floral, dry tobacco leaf and dried fruits. With a viscous leg, it shows its beautiful round structure and lightly tangy, enriching the lovely and fresh acidity. Soft with an elegant citric finish.
Excellent as a digestif, Accompanies well fresh fruit like pineapple or mango. Foie-gras and fruit cakes.
