Tinta Negra
VINEYARDS AND VINIFICATION
Tinta Negra grapes sourced in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos area. Grapes were pressed in a continuous press. Arresting of fermentation takes place at the desired degree of sweetness by adding vinic alcohol (96%).
LOT
In 1997 harvest, we selected grapes from a single vineyard located in the lowest area of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos. In 2007, we bottled the Single Harvest and kept some wine to age in two old French oak casks with a capacity of 650 liters each. This Colheita 1997, Cask (114 b+e) aged by the natural process "Canteiro" for over 17 years under moderate temperatures.
In September 2015, 1109 bottles have been filled, all individually numbered.

SERVING & CELLARAGE
Serve best at 13/14oC.
This wine was filtered and does not require decanting, it was bottled ready for drinking and it will last and maintain in good condition several months once opened.
TASTING NOTES
Gold colour with orange highlights.
Luscious Sweet scents, lots of caramel, liquorice, candied fruit and grape fruit peel. Creamy texture and a well-balanced acidity. Medium long smooth finish.
Excellent as a digestif.
Pairs well with dessert and cheese.
