DENOMINATION
Madeira D.O.P
GRAPE VARIETIES
Boal
VINEYARDS AND VINIFICATION
Grapes from a single vineyard located in Ribeira Brava. Grapes were pressed in a continuous Press. Arresting of fermentation takes place at the desired degree of sweetness by adding vinic alcohol (96%).
LOT
To create limited quantities of bespoke wines, we continue to preserve the traditional methods of making and aging Madeira wine. Two years after Ricardo Diogo joint the company, he dedicated himself to the production process and in September 1991, faced his first harvest. This wine is his first Boal with the Frasqueira category, despite the fact that 1992 was a rainy year, he believes this wine aged beautifully throughout the last 20 years. Bottled as single cask this Boal was aged in a 700 liter old French oak with number 77. In June 2013, 920 bottles have been filled, all individually numbered.
