VINEYARDS
Verdelho grapes produced in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos from vineyards facing south. Boal harvested in São Vicente, on the north coast of Madeira.
LOT
This Verdelho suffered complete fermentation during the crop and was left to age since 1999 in our warehouse B which is characterized for having cooler temperatures along the year, contrary to our warehouse used for Canteiro ageing.
Boal grapes produced by Gregório Sousa Andrade, one of our oldest suppliers of the Boal grape. His vineyard is located in a place well protected from the harsh winds and with great sun exposure. When making this wine we stopped the fermentation at 3°baumé leaving it to age in our warehouse A, which is known for having the highest temperatures of all our ageing warehouses. Between February 1999 and March 2003 the wine suffered high evaporation levels allowing it to achieve a baumé degree of 3,5 after five years of aging.
