VINEYARDS AND VINIFICATION
Grapes from a single vineyard located in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos in the south coast of Madeira Island. Arresting of fermentation takes place at the desired degree of sweetness by adding vinic alcohol (96%).
LOT
Matured in French oak casks of 620 liters each with more than 40 years of age, previously used in the ageing of Tinta Negra .
The first ageing period took place between February 1997 and In March 2002, we selected 3 casks with wine from the mentioned grape variety, mingled them and put them in two 750 liter casks for further ageing until February 2004. On the 26th February the wine was filtered and bottled. We bottled a total of three thousand 500ml bottles.

This wine was filtered and does not require decanting; it will last and maintain in good condition several months once opened.
TASTING NOTES AND HARMONIES
Light gold colour.
Aroma of crystallized fruits, yellow fruit jam, dried flower, ripe citrus and pistachio. Delicate honeyed palate, nice balanced acidity, long and fresh finish.
Excellent as an aperitif. Accompanies well olives, toasted almonds, marinated fish, salads and cheese.
