LOT
For the third bottling of the Malvasia single cask from 2000 our choice fell upon cask 39 a+e. The reason was mainly because the wine did not appear to be so concentrated as the ones from the last two bottlings (40 and 44). In addition to that, in the wine from cask 39 a+e we still found some aromas that reminded of a flowery garden which Ricardo Diogo is so fond of and that is characteristic to Malvasias in their early stage of aging. We also came across with an acidity that is almost hidden when we drink it but then slowly emerges, almost like magic, and keeps growing and just lingers in the mouth. In November of 2010, we bottled 980 units of 500ml all individually numbered.
