VINEYARDS AND VINIFICATION
Grapes from a quality single vineyard of São Vicente, North Coast of Madeira. Grapes were pressed in a continuous Press.
LOT
This Boal, Frasqueira 1995, had its origin in the same vineyard from which we had already bottled other wines in the Colheita single cask category. It was a small vineyard located in São Vicente, north Coast of Madeira Island. Just like all the wines produced until today with grapes from that vineyard, this Boal shows an exceptional acidity. Aged by the traditional method of Canteiro this wine was exposed to various temperatures in warehouses “a” (warmer) and “e” (cooler) which allowed a moderate concentration thus obtaining good balance between acidity and sweetness. In July 2016, 670 bottles were filled, all individually numbered.

TASTING NOTES AND HARMONIES
Gold Colour.
Lush bouquet of polished wood, caramel, honeyed, white sultanas, spices, notes of cedar and tobacco at background. Good complexity yet, with an elegant character, round edges and deep softness. Bittersweet finish, delicate acidity leading to an extreme freshness.
Excellent as a digestif.
