Grapes from a single vineyard located in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos.
LOT
After stopping the fermentation of the must we removed the clean part of the wine into four old French oak casks of 720 litre capacity each. Aging started in February 1998 in our warehouse “a” located on our family property. Aged under the traditional canteiro method in that warehouse this wine suffered good evaporation during the first 7 years in casks. The fast but very good development of this wine made us decide to move it to our warehouse “b” where temperatures are much fresher. During the last year of aging the level of evaporation was very low, turning the wine very delicate on the nose and well balanced in its sweetness and acidity. We bottled 3 849 bottles (500ml) all individually numbered.

SERVING & CELLARAGE
Serve best at 11/12oC.
This wine was filtered and does not require decanting; it will last and maintain in good condition several months once opened.
TASTING NOTES AND HARMONIES
Light Gold.
It has aromas of citrus, nuts and caramel notes. On the palate, which is intense and fresh, the citrus character arises from the grapefruit and peel, crystallized in harmony with the dried fruits.
Excellent as an aperitif.
